PSYCHIATRIC NURSE PRACTITIONER
[  REDMOND MEDICAL  |  accepting new clients  ]

Hi there! My name is Hannah (she/her) and I am a board certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. I provide mental health care to adults (19+). My Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree was obtained from the University of Washington. Clinical experiences in my program include outpatient mental health, community mental health, perinatal mental health, and inpatient psychiatric crisis stabilization. Prior to earning my doctorate degree, I worked as a nurse at Seattle Children’s Hospital for 4 years with a focus on inpatient psychiatric crisis stabilization. I also have experience in oncology nursing and wilderness therapy for adolescents and young adults.

I believe that mental health care is an individualized journey for each client and that a treatment approach should encompass those individual needs. I use a holistic approach and believe in treating the whole person. Collaboration with clients and their care team is of utmost importance to me and it is vital that each client’s voice be heard. As your provider, I will actively listen to you and create a safe space to communicate at each visit. Your life experiences, insight, and input are a crucial part of our work together. This, combined with my clinical experience and close work with your other mental health providers will help guide treatment and medication decisions. We will work closely together on an ongoing basis to assure that you feel supported at each step of your mental health journey.

My professional interests include working with clients with depression, anxiety, OCD, PTSD, bipolar disorder, and ADHD. Other interests include family dynamics, grief work, working with clients across the perinatal lifespan, clients with terminal illness or end of life care, and clients in the LGBTQIA+ community.  I strive to build relationships with patients based on trust, openness, vulnerability, and empathy. I work to provide trauma-informed care and integrate evidence-based practices and approaches into each session. Mindfulness, mediation, and connection to mind/body/spirit are useful tools we can incorporate into our visits if this is something you’re interested in.

In my personal life, my interests and hobbies include spending quality time with family and friends, traveling, yoga, live music, skiing, hiking, road-tripping and camping across the PNW, meditation, cooking, exploring new restaurants, and endless adventures with our sweet pup, Gris. I look forward to meeting you!
