Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker Associate
Margaret Mathai is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker Associate who is working towards full licensure. Margaret graduated from the University of Washington with a Master’s in Social Work and Loughborough University of Technology, UK, with a Master’s in Library Studies with a focus on bibliotherapy for rehabilitation. She supports adolescents and adults 15+ experiencing severe mental illness and substance use, bipolar disorders, psychotic disorders, anxiety disorders, trauma, and personality disorders.
Margaret utilizes evidence-based practices to tailor treatment interventions to suit individual needs. She utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and clinical trauma interventions in a culturally sensitive approach.
For multicultural/multilingual clients, Margaret believes in providing safe, nonjudgmental, and positive support to clients, including common non-English languages as appropriate.
