Psychology Doctoral Intern
[ REDMOND MEDICAL | accepting new clients ]
Victoria is a native Seattleite who earned her bachelor’s in chemistry, biology, and neuroscience from the University of Washington (Go Dawgs!). She subsequently attended 2 years of medical school in Texas, an experience that highlighted the intersection of medical and emotional care and the relative inability of the traditional medical model to offer the breadth of care she desires to provide. Victoria subsequently earned a master’s in clinical psychology. She is currently completing her internship year of her doctoral program in clinical psychology. She provides psychotherapy and assessment services to individuals under the supervision of Dr. Mike Kippes and Dr. Holley Kaskel, who are both licensed clinical psychologists.
Victoria’s laid back and approachable style pulls from wanting to understand the whole person medically, spiritually, and psychologically, through a psychoanalytic and neurobiological lens. Psychoanalytic psychotherapy is a process that helps us focus on the unconscious, in addition to the conscious mind. She builds a healthy therapeutic alliance with her clients to help them understand their own relationships. She strives to create a space where clients can build skills they need to manage and cope with the unavoidable discomfort that comes with growth.
Victoria works with clients who want to prosper in life but are being held back by previous trauma or other past/present life events. This generally presents as issues related to anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship building, self-awareness and well-being.
Victoria is in network with all the major commercial insurances.
