ANDERSON PARK  |  limited openings ]

Jessica is a provider at our Anderson Park clinic who provides therapy services in-person and via telehealth. She earned her MSW from the University of Washington School of Social Work and is currently working towards independent licensure under the supervision of Jerry Carmichael, LMHC. She has a background in community mental health and has worked primarily with older adolescents (16+), adults, and older adults.

Jessica practices therapy through an anti-oppression lens with a therapeutic style informed by the experiences of the individual as well as the systems that impact their lives. As a child of Southeast Asian immigrants, she strives to provide an empathetic space for clients to process issues related to racial, intercultural, and intergenerational trauma. Jessica is an LGBTQIA2S+-affirming therapist who has worked with clients of various cultural backgrounds and has experience with depression, anxiety, personality disorders, substance use, bereavement, trauma-informed care and issues related to aging.

Jessica uses a psychodynamic approach that includes practices from DBT, CBT, Narrative and Schema therapies. She strives to help clients reduce suffering, negative self-talk and reactivity to make room for healthier relationships, greater self-awareness, better decision-making and ultimately—more fulfilling lives. As a heritage Buddhist and former touring musician, she helps clients integrate mindfulness and sound therapy into their sessions—to center the heart as well as the mind.
