Tara is a Licensed Independent Social Work Associate who is passionate about working with people and supporting them on their healing journey. She completed her Master’s degree in Clinical Social Work from Portland State University, a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Studies with an emphasis in Sociology from Northland College in Ashland, WI and is currently working to gather hours toward independent licensure under the supervision of Virginia Agogliati, LMHC.  

Her approach to therapy is holistic and integrated by nature pulling from dynamic modalities and therapeutic interventions to support the whole person. She views clients through a systems lens to honor the multiplicity within all people as working and functioning to meet their unique needs. She believes that the environment heavily influences a person’s challenges. Tara works with clients from various backgrounds and specializes in grief and loss, developmental trauma and/or wounding, life transitions, adjustment issues, attachment and relational challenges, depression, anxiety, and behavior changes. Tara is passionate about supporting people with their spiritual exploration. She holds space from a compassionate, non-judgmental energy which allows for the client to show up fully in their truth feeling honored and accepted. Tara believes that the therapeutic relationship is the key to successful therapy. She works to facilitate healing and to journey with them to unfurl their innate resiliency, empowerment, and overall well-being.  

Tara has specialized in training with Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Grief and Loss Counseling, along with various traditional therapeutic modalities, and uses a client-focused approach. She sees the integration of Western and Eastern theories as a powerful conduit to heal. Tara seeks to understand the dynamics of her clients and reveres clients as the experts of their lives. She hopes to connect them to their core values to promote conscious connection to decision making for their life’s journey. Her goal is to witness her clients and help them to feel less alone as we all are navigating this world together.
