Sabrina Vlad, LMHCA

Licensed Mental Health Counselor Associate

I am a clinician at our Federal Way clinic who provides therapy services!

My ideal client is someone who is feeling stuck or overwhelmed, often dealing with anxiety, low self-worth, relationship difficulties, or life transitions. They may have a hard time identifying their own needs or advocating for themselves and are looking for a safe, supportive space to process their emotions and gain clarity.

What they want is to feel more in control of their thoughts and emotions, to build healthier relationships, and to live in a way that feels more authentic and fulfilling. They’re seeking tools to manage stress, develop insight into patterns that no longer serve them, and make meaningful changes. They’re motivated—maybe nervous—but ready to grow, and they value having someone alongside them as they do the work.

My approach would focus on building a strong therapeutic relationship, helping them feel seen and heard, and working collaboratively toward their goals using a blend of practical tools and deeper exploration.

I can help by creating a supportive, nonjudgmental space where clients feel safe to explore their thoughts, emotions, and experiences. My specialty lies in working with individuals dealing with anxiety, life transitions, self-esteem issues, and relational challenges. With a background in school counseling, I also bring experience in supporting adolescents and young adults as they navigate identity, emotional regulation, and major life changes.

I offer a warm, collaborative approach that blends cognitive-behavioral strategies, strengths-based practices, and solution-focused work. I focus on helping clients build self-awareness, develop healthier coping tools, and shift unhelpful patterns so they can move toward the life they want. I also value cultural sensitivity, clear communication, and tailoring my approach to meet each client where they are. My goal is to empower clients to better understand themselves and feel more confident and grounded in their daily lives.

I want my clients to know that therapy doesn’t have to feel intimidating—you don’t need to have everything figured out before you come in. I’m here to meet you where you are, whether you’re feeling lost, overwhelmed, or just need someone to talk to who really listens. I believe in the power of connection, and I work hard to create a space where you can feel safe, supported, and genuinely understood.

You don’t have to go through what you’re experiencing alone. Healing and growth take time, but with the right support, change is possible. If you’re thinking about starting therapy—even if you’re unsure where to begin—I encourage you to reach out. I’d be honored to walk alongside you in this next chapter of your journey.
