Licensed Mental Health Counselor
Pam Hubbard is a provider at our Federal Way clinic who provides therapy services via telehealth. She is a graduate of the Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology program at Argosy University, Seattle. She has previously worked with clients in a community behavioral health program, focusing on working with those who struggle with substance use and mental health concerns such as trauma symptoms, interpersonal relationship challenges, and mood disorders such as depression and anxiety. Her attentive and accepting style allows her to accompany her clients while they embark on a journey of self-discovery.
Pam invites clients to be active participants in their counseling sessions, so they are better able to understand themselves and how best to approach their lives with this information. She works within an existential and Internal Family Systems (IFS) approach, focusing on the worldview of the client and becoming curious in relation to themselves in as far as how they think and feel, honor their needs, and how they relate to themselves and those around them. She also utilizes interventions and skills found in behavioral methods such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), as well as Motivational Interviewing (MI).
Pam enjoys working with clients whose ages span from adolescence (13+) through adulthood, and especially enjoys working with clients who are invested in increasing their sense of autonomy and agency in their lives. She greatly appreciates each opportunity a client offers when allowing her to walk beside them while they move towards living an authentic, Self-driven life.
