Harper Rainflower-O’Sullivan is a licensed social worker who has always dreamed of being a one-on-one therapist. They have worked for over ten years with that goal in mind. Harper would love to work with clients on the issues that haunt them and hold them back. The reclamation of personal power is the foundation of their work together with clients. They explore relational systems such as justice and culture, and the role of the self within these systems. By re-imagining themselves as cherished and sacred parts of the whole, they will also aid in healing the wounds they carry.
Harper incorporates rewilding and decolonizing principles while divesting from systems that do not value clients or their communities, recognizing that full divestment is not always possible. They focus on navigating a mainstream society that can be hostile to those who do not conform, which is a foundational principle of their offerings. By helping clients identify what is most important to them, they bring about peace and helps prioritize what truly matters.
Harper sees clients dealing with PTSD, DID, anxiety, depression, bipolar 2, suicidal ideation, and those who are neurodivergent. They also work with individuals who haven’t been diagnosed but are struggling to lead authentic lives. While they have experience with clients experiencing suicidal ideation, they advise that those in immediate crisis are better served by emergency services. Harper is kink and sex worker positive, knowledgeable about and accepting of many polytheistic and pagan spiritualities, and has experience with LGBTQAI+ affirmation, grief, death and dying, sizeism, BIPOC issues and needs, and the unique challenges of living with chronic illnesses and disabilities.
Harper has a strong passion for supporting those who are often disenfranchised and overlooked by societal constructs and rulers. They have worked as a crisis counselor and in long-term care, which has honed their ability to hold space for trauma and loss. Now, they hold that space for clients in their private practice. Harper truly believes that transformation is possible.
