Physician Assistant
I am a provider at our Fremont clinic who offers psychiatric services!
I can help by giving the patient my full attention without interferences such as having to multi task during their assessment. Offer humility to establish trust and avoid undermining and dismissing patients feelings and what is meaningful to them. Provide respectful introduction hand shake, eye contact and personable conversation. Acknowledge the patients needs. Allow them to speak and truly listen. Empathize with their emotions. Avoid judgement. Listen fully. Then explain the process and reassure the patient that we are here to help them on the path to healing without judgment. And go into detail about several treatments that are available to fit their unique needs. With an emphasis on allowing the patient to feel in charge of their treatment with guidance to make the choices that best fits their needs and requirements.
I want them to know I care. And that I understand that they are allowing me the privilege to provide their care. I hope to make them feel uplifted and hopeful as often as possible and to restore their faith in the medical system and humanity with my words and my actions. I want to represent quality and protect the relationships that are built over time with mutual trust, respect and kindness.
