Sean is a Licensed Independent Social Worker Associate at our Federal Way clinic who provides therapy services in-person and via telehealth. He earned his Master’s in Social Work from Seattle University and his Bachelor’s in Psychology from DePaul University. He has extensive experience working with substance use disorders and adults with chronic mental illness.
Sean takes an active role in the therapeutic process and prioritizes empowering his clients to identify and reach the goals that they establish. Sean focuses on making therapy an approachable process and prioritizes building rapport for the best outcomes. His primary modality is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) which focuses on challenging and reframing thoughts and beliefs that hold people back from their ideal self. He is also trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR) which aims to alleviate the distress and negative reactions to traumatic events.
Sean has a wealth of experience having worked in the field for 7 years with individuals with depression, anxiety, substance use disorders, bipolar, PTSD, CPTSD, schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorder, ADHD, and various personality disorders.
Sean works with adolescents and adults ages 13+.
