Our Intake Process
It Starts With A Phone Call
Once you contact us, someone will give you a call back and do a phone screening to see whether you are fit for any of our providers. They will also ask you about health insurance and take that information if you plan to use it.
If the screening suggests we have a provider that would be a good fit for you, then we can help you to check your health insurance benefits so you have a better sense of how much treatment will cost.
If you decide to set up an initial consultation you will be given access to our website where you can fill out some questionnaires and forms online.
The Initial Consultation
The initial consultation usually takes 45-50 minutes and involves a thorough assessment of what you are struggling with, relevant background information, what you are wanting from treatment, and provides initial guidance about treatment options. The consultation is not a commitment to therapy, but rather a chance to meet your potential therapist and to give both parties a chance to see if you will work well together.
Our therapists do bill health insurance. We work with all major carriers including Regence BCBS, Providence, Cigna, Aetna, and many others.
We advocate for our clients with health insurance companies and complete pre-authorizations and required case reviews. We try to verify insurance eligibility and benefits before you begin treatment. However, due to insurance companies considering some information as proprietary, we cannot always tell how much your insurance will pay.

If You Want A Referral
If your provider does not believe they are an excellent fit for you, they will refer you to someone else. We have extensive contacts with mental health providers in the community and so we are usually able to provide excellent referrals if we are not a good fit for you. We strive to provide therapy to people who fit with our specialty areas and to refer those people out who are a not a good fit, so that they can find the right person.
