Britney believes that our identities and how we present ourselves are profoundly influenced by our families. This is why she practices therapy from a systemic perspective. She believes that while we are shaped by our family’s histories, we have the power to re-author our narratives and create new meanings. Britney employs a humanistic and experiential approach in her therapy, often incorporating a playful demeanor and humor when working with clients.
Her ideal clients include families, couples, and individuals facing communication breakdowns, struggling with anxiety and/or depression, or grappling with racial/cultural identity issues. Ideal clients are those willing to collaborate with the therapist to set goals, which may include developing coping skills and enhancing self-esteem or sense of self.
