Master of Social Work
Hello, I’m Aminatamam “Mina” Mohamud, MSW, and I offer therapy services at our Redmond Medical Center clinic.
I’ve worked w/ older adolescents and adults in community mental health, residential foster care, group therapy, and advocacy. As a Somali American clinician, I understand the challenges of balancing cultural expectations, systemic barriers, and personal identity struggles. I have experience supporting individuals navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD, emotional regulation challenges, identity exploration, relationship stress, and/or major life transitions. If you’re feeling overwhelmed, stuck, burned out, or unsure where to begin, you don’t have to navigate it alone.
My approach is collaborative, strengths-based, and grounded in evidence-based practices, including Mindfulness-Based CBT, Emotion-Focused Therapy, DBT-informed skills, Polyvagal Theory, and Motivational Interviewing. My goal is to create a supportive, nonjudgmental space where you feel heard, understood, and empowered to build coping tools to process life.
If you’re reading this and feeling overwhelmed, stuck, burned out, or unsure where to begin, you don’t have to navigate it alone. My goal is to create a safe, nonjudgmental environment where you feel heard, understood, and empowered to move toward healing and growth. Whether you’re newly exploring therapy or returning to it, I aim to meet you where you are.
