Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Associate
Hi there, I’m Jackie, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Associate practicing in Tacoma, Washington.
Not only am I passionate about helping young adults, couples, and families of all types, but also aim to provide a compassionate space for those who are experiencing transitions and powerful life events that are affecting their well-being. I believe in the importance of meeting each individual where they are at and work collaboratively with clients to reach their goals.
I am proudly bilingual, and have experience providing treatment services in Spanish.
My treatment approach is Systems oriented, while integrating Experiential, Emotionally Focused, Solution-Focused, Person-Centered, Narrative, and CBT therapies. I also utilize Art Therapy and Play Therapy resources in client sessions. Client well-being is always my number one priority, and I go above and beyond to help individuals navigate obstacles.
My approach to counseling is client-centered, rooted in systems theory and ORCA stance (Openness, Respect, Curiosity, and Accountability. My hope is to provide a safe place for you to process life and move towards growth. I want to help you access your innate ability to heal and grow in the context of a safe and supportive therapeutic relationship.
