Physician Assistant

Hello. My name is Brandon Carr. I am a physician assistant and a pharmacist originally from Seattle. I provide psychiatry services at our Seattle – Northgate clinic.
I graduated from the University of Washington in 2005 with a combined physician assistant/doctorate in pharmacy degree. Over the past several years I have been focusing my career on helping people with mental health disorders. I’m sure that most of us have know at least one person that has suffered from mental health disorders. My job is to create a safe place where clients feel comfortable to open up about struggles in their lives so as to build a foundation for effective change.
Having a doctorate in pharmacy as well as a physician assistant degree really helps me manage/adjust medications for a variety of mental health conditions. I pursue a multifaceted treatment approach including not only medication management but also therapy tailored to your specific symptoms. It is essential to treat the whole patient.
I got into medicine to help people. It can be a lonely road to travel down on your way to changing your life for the better. Change is one of the hardest things for any of us to do. I am here to be supportive while you are going down the road of change. I use concepts like therapeutic alliance and shared decision making in my daily practice.
