Helping individuals, couples, relationships, and families adjust to the changes that occur throughout the lifespan is why I became a therapist. I constantly strive to support my clients in overcoming mental health concerns that erode self-esteem, self-confidence, and a sense of self-worth. I pride myself on being open-minded and nonjudgmental about all the ways through which one can achieve a fulfilling life. As a couples, relationship, and family therapist, I am constantly looking to have my clients open new lines of communication and learn to relate to one another with more empathy.

When working with individuals, my specialties are existential and narrative therapy because I find they help clients discover more meaning in their lives that in turn bolsters their resilience. When working with couples, relationships, and families, my specialties are emotion-focused therapy (EFT) and the Gottman method because they offer clients paths toward becoming closer through fostering empathy and providing cognitive restructuring around the negative thoughts that can interrupt interpersonal relationships.

I am a therapist who deeply understands and appreciates how the paths we walk through life are seldom straightforward. Many circuitous routes through my own life have led me toward becoming a therapist and have repeatedly taught me that even the most uncertain and wayward experiences are often journeys to hopeful destinations. My belief in even the most trying moments containing vast potential is what guides my practice. If these perspectives speak to you, feel free to reach out and we can wend our way through life together.
