Mental Health Counselor Associate

Pam Green earned a B.A. in Psychology from the University of Nevada Las Vegas. She graduated with a dual Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and School Counseling from the University of San Diego. She will be working to gather hours toward independent licensure under the supervision of Virginia Agogliati, LMHC. 

Pam recognizes that the relationship between the client and clinician fosters and enhances the client’s natural resilience and hope for change. To meet the needs of each client based on developmental and mental health presentation, Pam has experience in various evidence-based practices. Including Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavior therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused CBT (TF-CBT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing to target the specific mental health needs that bring the client into treatment. 

She provides individual and family therapy to adolescents (13+) and adults. Her specialties include relationship issues, anxiety, depression, trauma, body acceptance, and family dynamics. Pam is passionate about supporting clients through a multicultural lens that is affirming to LGBTQIA and BIPOC clients. As a therapist, she aims to use a client-centered approach, including empathy, genuineness, and unconditional positive regard, to form meaningful relationships with clients. 

Pam is enthusiastic about supporting adolescents as they build sustainable coping skills and take ownership of their goals for treatment. She works together with parents and families to establish healthy boundaries within their system. Pam has co-presented to parents on fostering a connection with their teen as part of the Health Resources Services Administration (HRSA) Federal Training program at the University of San Diego. In working with adolescents, Pam is interested in utilizing narrative therapy and therapeutic art techniques when working with youth. 

In addition, Pam is passionate about aiding adults at the intersection of career stress and managing severe mental health. She works with those struggling with work-life balance, social anxiety, imposter syndrome, job burnout, career changes, and many more. Pam views that as humans, we are constantly learning and growing. As a lifelong learner, she enjoys listening to podcasts, practicing mindfulness, hiking, and making art.
