Kylani Arrington, MA, LMHCA
I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor Associate working with adult individuals experiencing a myriad of issues. I identify as an Adlerian counselor which means that I accept your reality as your individual truth and recognize that you are the expert of your own life. Within that scope, I offer the following specialties: death acceptance and planning, spiritual and cultural exploration, trauma healing, stress and anxiety reduction, and mindfulness meditation (among others!).
I received my Bachelor of Arts in Community Psychology from the University of Washington in 2015 and my Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Antioch University Seattle in 2019. During my clinical internship, I worked with clients with a variety of disorders, from anxiety to schizophrenia, utilizing Narrative Therapy, Lifespan Integration Therapy, Buddhist Psychotherapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy modalities. It is my practice to allow clients to help decide what therapy will be most effective for them.
I believe counseling is a collaborative and creative process that allows the client and counselor to learn from each other. Humor, empathy, hope, and curiosity drives my passion for this work. If you are hoping to “dig deep” or just chat, I am here for your journey.
