Clare Batley, MA, LMFT, CCTP
MARRIAGE AND FAMILY THERAPIST
[ VIRTUAL TEAM | limited openings ]
Clare is a marriage and family therapist who earned her Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology in 2016 from Santa Clara University and is a certified clinical trauma professional (CCTP-II) and a certified ADHD services provider (ADHD-CCSP). Clare works with clients who experience anxiety and depression that results primarily from childhood trauma and complex PTSD, as well as working with clients who have experienced domestic violence, relationship or parenting challenges, or other traumatic life challenges, and clients who have been diagnosed with or have symptoms of ADHD and OCD.
Clare’s therapeutic approach is primarily relational, and incorporates interventions drawn from psychodynamic, attachment-based, and family systems approaches, to evidence-based approaches such as mindfulness-based interventions, cognitive behavioral therapy, exposure therapy and dialectical behavior therapy. Clare’s primary objective as a therapist is to meet the needs of the client through defining goals of therapy collaboratively with the client, and by utilizing approaches and interventions suited for each client which will most likely yield effective results.
Clare believes in the importance of creating a warm and engaging client-therapist relationship and encourages clients to be active participants in their treatment. She believes that a collaborative approach which encourages client participation more fully engages the client in the therapeutic process and may contribute to the client’s overall sense of empowerment and well-being.
